IPL captains fined for Slow Over Rate
Four IPL captains were fined about USD 20,000 for their teams’ slow over rates in their opening encounters in the third season of IPL.
KKR captain Sourav Ganguly was fined for his slow over rate against Deccan Chargers in the opening game of the tournament. KKR was slow by 3 overs. And Sachin Tendulkar was also fined since MI was 2 overs behind the over rate in their match against Rajasthan Royals.
And in the third match both the Delhi Daredevils captain and Kings XI captain Sangakkara were fined by match referee Srinivas Venkataraghavan for remaining behind in the over rate. Both the teams were an over behind in their over rates.
