Turn off autorun.inf for Avoiding Virus infection in USB. Protect yourself from virus. Nowadays most virus enter through USB by utilizing autorun.inf so its better to turn it off, that way no virus can enter the system that way.

To permanently turn off autorun for USB media
Steps:-
open start->run->regedit
go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer.

Right click on “NoDriveTypeAutoRun” and select “modify” click Hexadecimal if not selected and write 95 in the text box (default it is 91) and click on OK.

Restart your PC ;)
