HOT : 3 year old child falls into open drain in Mumbai
On Dec 20. Sunday night, a 3 year old child Ayub Salam Abdul Sheikh fell into an open drain at suburban Mankhurd. At least 2 km of the drain from Mankhurd to Ghatkopar had been scanned but there was no trace of the boy. Tension soared in the area after the child’s grandfather died of shock.
Police and fire brigade personnel were pumping water into the drain in a bid to flush out the body. Police were also not ruling out abduction and had interrogated three people.
Another Incident : On Tuesday, Dec 15, three-year-old Hrishikesh Gupta died after falling down a seven-foot-deep uncovered manhole in the Bhayander suburbs of Mumbai. The mishap took place at around 2 pm when the boy was walking home with his mother.
The mother was did not realise that the boy had fallen into the manhole searched for the boy for over an hour, said the media reports covering the incident.
