Victim of recent attacks on Indian students in Australia, Baljinder Singh in an exclusive phone interview to TIMES NOW on Saturday (May 30) adviced all Indian students not to come to Australia. While speaking to TIMES NOW Baljinder said, “There is nothing In Australia. India has more opportunities. Indian students should not pick Australia to study. We’re not safe here now. I thought it was safe here, that’s why I came to Australia.”
Recounting the incident which took place earlier this week, Baljinder said, “On Monday night I had just finished my work at 9:30 pm and I got into the train at Charlville station at about 10:30. Just 50 metre outside the station two Australian guys asked me if I have any money. They already had knives in their hands. One of them had a small knife and the other had a big knife. One of my friends just got his Visa and is to arrive next month. He is now very scared to come here. Do not come to Australia, there is nothing. There are no opportunities in Australia. I just want to tell everyone to please do something in India. Do not come to Australia. I can definitely say now that this was a racist attack.”
He added, “I just wanted to save my life and yelled ‘just don’t kill me.”
Baljinder Singh, who was stabbed by two attackers early this week, has been discharged from hospital on Friday (May 29)
